The Blue Moon is a newly opened Bed & Breakfast in a unique house built in 1901 during Slocan's Silver Rush. The Blue Moon B&B is in the heart of Slocan, British Columbia, a small village by Valhalla Provincial Park. The village is on the southern tip of Slocan Lake where the lake spills into the Slocan River. Diverse habitats create a home for a wide variety of wild plants and animals. Just behind our backyard a mossy cedar forest shelters the rushing Springer Creek and fills our soundscape with birdsong and the flow of water. Guests are welcome to relax in our garden, perhaps under our majestic maple tree (which might be as old as the house), or by our veggie garden, fruit trees, ornamental bushes, and flowers. Watch our friendly American Robin couple busying themselves with food gathering, the Barn Swallows nesting, the Rufous Hummingbirds feeding, or Ospreys hovering above nearby. Ask us to light a fire in our fire pit (when permitted).
The Blue Moon is very eclectic in its style, but also in its ability to accommodate different types of guests. Whether you come alone or as a couple, a family, or a group... for a little holiday in the countryside, an exciting outdoor adventure, a retreat, or a meeting, the Blue Moon B&B is a place that will give you a memorable experience. The Blue Moon is truly a gem, and we are very excited to share it with visitors.
